About Kathryn

Having grown up in Hendersonville and Gallatin, I love this county that I call home.  In 1983, my father, William (“Bill”) Doyle Tidwell, III and grandfather, William Doyle Tidwell, Jr., built, owned and operated a grocery store on New Shackle Island Road in Hendersonville (Tidwell’s Super Value which later became Piggly Wiggly) and maintained that business for approximately 23 years.  I grew up in and around a small business seeing first hand the demands of owning and managing a business as well as the need for excellent customer service.  After graduating from Gallatin High School in 1997, I attended Middle Tennessee State University and graduated with a degree in political science with a minor in paralegal studies.  After graduating from MTSU, I attended and graduated from Nashville School of Law in 2007.

My legal career began 13 years ago while I was in college at MTSU and found a job as a legal secretary for a law office in Murfreesboro. While in college and law school, I worked for three different law firms in three different counties where I worked with different court clerk’s offices and experienced many different areas of the law. Upon graduating from law school, I worked for a firm in Sumner County for a few years before opening my own law practice, Strong Law Group. In my practice, I have specialized in estate planning, elder law, Wills, intellectual property and business law. Working in law offices and managing my own business has given me the necessary business skills to properly and efficiently manage the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office.

While in law school, I married my best friend, Justin Strong, who is also a Sumner County native and business owner. We have two amazing and spunky children, Olivia (5) and Luke (3). I am active in our community as a member and Past-President of the Gallatin Noon Rotary Club, member of the Sumner County Republican Party, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Sumner County Bar Association. I have also served on the Board of Directors for the Gallatin Senior Citizen’s Center. My family is active in our church, Station Camp Church. I love the Lord, my family and this community.
